By accessing or using SafeCast ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SafeCast is a secure video streaming and management platform that allows users to:

  • Upload and manage videos
  • Share videos with encrypted, time-limited links
  • Authenticate using email and Google OAuth
  • Generate secure sharing links for content distribution

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You must use a valid email address
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • You must not share your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • You must not use the Service for illegal purposes

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Violate any laws or regulations

  • Share account credentials with others

  • No content that violates others' rights

5. Video Content

5.1 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you upload
  • You grant SafeCast a license to store, process, and serve your content
  • You are responsible for the content you upload
  • You warrant you have the right to upload all content

5.2 Content Moderation

  • SafeCast reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations
  • No refunds if your account is terminated for violations

5.3 YouTube Integration

  • When using YouTube upload features, you agree to YouTube's Terms of Service
  • SafeCast is not responsible for YouTube's policies or actions
  • You are responsible for compliance with YouTube's guidelines

6. Sharing Links and Encryption

6.1 Secure Links

  • Sharing links may have expiration dates
  • Links may be single-use or multi-use as configured
  • You are responsible for who you share links with
  • Shared links grant access to your content

6.2 Link Security

  • SafeCast provides encryption for sharing links
  • You are responsible for maintaining link security
  • Do not share links publicly if content is private

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

  • SafeCast and its technology are protected by intellectual property laws
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software without permission
  • SafeCast trademarks belong to us

7.2 Your Rights

  • You retain ownership of your content
  • You grant us a license to use your content to provide the Service

8. Third-Party Services

8.1 Google Services

  • SafeCast integrates with Google OAuth and YouTube API
  • Your use of Google services is subject to Google's Terms of Service
  • SafeCast is not responsible for Google services or their policies

8.2 Email Services

  • We use email for verification and notifications
  • You consent to receive emails from SafeCast
  • You can opt-out of promotional emails

9. Service Availability

9.1 Availability

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee it
  • Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
  • We are not liable for service interruptions

9.2 Modifications

  • We may modify or discontinue features at any time
  • We will provide reasonable notice of major changes

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 No Warranties

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties

  • SafeCast's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months

You agree to indemnify and hold SafeCast harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of others

12. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time
  • Deletion may result in permanent loss of your data

12.2 By Us

  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violations
  • We may terminate accounts that are inactive for extended periods
  • No refunds upon termination

13. Changes to Terms

  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
